Cryptology and Cybersecurity

A technical field of study which includes fulltime and part-time first-cycle (Bachelor) and second-cycle (Master) studies in the following specialisations:

Graduates will receive a diploma on a successful completion of higher education in the field of “Cryptography and Cybersecurity” in a selected specialisation and a professional title of Engineer (after completing first-cycle studies) or Master of Science (after completing second-cycle studies).

Cyber defence
A graduate has advanced knowledge in the scope of computer science, particularly in the field of computer networks, as well as knowledge of security engineering, particularly in the area of technical system security. In this area, graduates will acquire knowledge and skills in the scope of network exploration understood as searching and correlating information about ICT systems, as well as recognising, examining, and identifying network resources. Furthermore, they learn about the characteristics and tools used for network attacks, and acquire knowledge and skills in the area of using various ICT security measures. They have knowledge and skills in the scope of handling network devices, Linux and Windows operating system management, designing and managing wireless network security. Furthermore, students will acquire skills in the field of designing and implementing dispersed system software, with the use of modern technologies. They have the option to participate in the following programmes to facilitate launching their careers: Microsoft IT Academy and CISCO Networking Academy.

Information security
The graduate has advanced knowledge in the field of computer science, as well as general knowledge of mathematical sciences and security engineering, including in the area of technical system security. Education includes, among other things, topics in the field of security systems engineering, information security management, constructing information protection systems, IT systems security. The graduate is prepared to work within the structures responsible for national security, in particular in the scope of effective participation in designing information systems security, as well as in analyses and assessments of security and risk.

Cryptographic systems
Absolwent posiada zaawansowaną wiedzę z zakresu informatyki, a także ogólną wiedzę z zakresu nauk matematycznych oraz inżynierii bezpieczeństwa, w tym z obszaru bezpieczeństwa systemów technicznych. Kształcenie obejmuje m.in. tematykę z zakresu inżynierii systemów bezpieczeństwa, zarządzania bezpieczeństwem informacji, budowy systemów ochrony informacji, bezpieczeństwa systemów informatycznych. Absolwent jest przygotowany do pracy w strukturach odpowiedzialnych za bezpieczeństwo państwa, w szczególności w zakresie efektywnego uczestniczenia w projektowaniu systemów bezpieczeństwa informacji oraz analizach i ocenach bezpieczeństwa i ryzyka.

Cybersecurity
The graduate has advanced knowledge and skills in the field of computer science, particularly in the scope of analysing, designing, and managing ICT systems, as well as knowledge and skills in the broad field of ICT system security. In this area, the graduate acquires knowledge and skills in the field of damage diagnostics and tolerance, designing and maintaining both safety systems and information security management systems, applying investigation techniques, typical attack techniques, recognising susceptibility, and organising defences in cyberspace. The graduate also learns about the direction of computer technology development, including mobile technologies and the Internet of things.
